National Nutrition Month- Healthy Breakfast Recipes

March is National Nutrition Month. During the month of March, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietics invites everyone to focus on making informed and healthier food choices and we wanted to contribute by talking about breakfast! Skipping breakfast is linked to health conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and high cholesterol. Here are some of our favorite heart healthy breakfast recipes.

1) Avocado Toast

Avocados are full of heart healthy unsaturated fats. Use a whole grain bread to support cardiovascular health and for added fiber. A drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of kosher salt pulls it together to create a breakfast that is sure to leave you satisfied!

2) Oatmeal
